The Downtown Auckland Club put on another very successful Cook Night at the Ronald McDonald House on 31 May. In spite of the overwhelming interest within their own Club, Gill Johnston and Kat Trevor gave us the opportunity to
send a couple of our own RCA members. The lucky ones were Jim Johnston and his wife Deirdre - and Jim, we heard, carved up all the chickens!  The benefiting families were, as always, very touched and grateful for a home-cooked meal
in the midst of constantly caring for their little ones currently undergoing medical treatment at Starship Hospital. A lovingly prepared meal can really make a big difference during such a time!
Rockin Roger and his Dancing with the Stars partner Carol-Ann Hanna also popped into lend a hand.
Given the great success of the second Cook Night that our Club has been participating in, we are only more encouraged to put our own Cook Night session on soon and then reciprocating the kindness by inviting our fellow Rotarians from the Downtown Club. Thank you, Gill and Kat, for the great collaboration!”
