This week we are hearing from James Davies at Habitat for Humanity.  The New Zealand arm of Habitat, is responsible for action in a number of areas in housing including Assisted Home Ownership - to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for Kiwis that this is out of reach for.  Families invest 500 hours of their time to build their own home or those of others.  Once their home is completed the family makes affordable regular repayments to Habitat at a no profit basis.  Their rent-then-buy model helps families build up a deposit which they can use when seeking independent finance and buy their home from Habitat.  As well, Habitat provides families with affordable rental accommodation in New Zealand.  Come along and hear about how Habitat is making a difference in the housing of families to improve their lives.  Have a great week.
