A big “Thank you” to all members who have played a role in Rotary during 2019. If you have attended a meeting, volunteered, helped on a committee, run a fundraiser or worked alongside other Rotarians, these are all the activities that make us a vibrant Rotary Club. I look forward to a successful 2020 year as we head into the new decade and the lead up to our Centenary.
And a special thanks to everyone who made an Auckland City Mission Christmas donation, as well as gifts for children and puddings, we also raised $1270.
I want to wish you and your families all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a reminder that the first meeting of 2020 will be the week after Waitangi Day - Monday 10th February.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Half Moon Bay, the Bangers to Bluff Car Rally is approximately 2500km travelling on ‘roads less travelled’, from 24 March to 4 April 2020. The cars (bangers) need to have cost less than $2000 and will drive from Half Moon Bay in Auckland, through to Bluff and then back to Invercargill, where they will be auctioned off. This event is now in its fifth year and the 12-day event raises funds for a number of charities. For more information go towww.bangerstobluff.co.nz or emailrod@cookes.net.nz
Habitat for Humanity invites you to join Jay Davies on a Global Village trip to the Kavre region in Nepal in March 2020 to build a new home for a family in dire need. For more information, or to secure your place on the trip, please contact Jay Davies atjames.davies@habitat.org.nz or 022 677 0614.
