Who can join?

Rotarians come from all walks of life but key is being of good character.

Rotarians need to and do trust each other and do so on the basis of our famous Four Way Test



Rotary clubs also welcome members of our other Club programmes including RotaKids, Interactors, Rotaractors and our leadership alumni programs, Rotary Peace Fellows, Rotary Youth Exchange students and Rotary Youth Leaders.

How can I become a member?

Come along to a meeting and see if our Club is for you. If you are interested in joining we will provide you with everything you need to know.

What are the benefits?

Becoming a Rotary member connects you with a diverse group of people with skills who share your drive to give back. Through regular meetings and events, you’ll:

  • Discuss your community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them

  • Connect with other leaders who are changing the world

  • Expand your leadership and professional skills

  • Catch up with good friends and meet new ones

The Rotary International Convention is our biggest event of the year. Rotary members from more than 130 countries meet at the convention each year to celebrate our successes and make plans for the future.

Rotary Fellowships give members the chance to join a group of people who share similar interests, hobbies, or vocations. Some groups use their fellowship to make a positive difference.

Rotarian Action Groups unite Rotary members, family members, program participants and alumni who share their expertise in particular fields by collaborating with clubs and districts on projects.

What’s expected of me?

As a club member, you will be asked to:

  • Pay club dues

  • Attend meetings and events

  • Use your skills and talents to make a difference

Rotaract, Interact and RotaKids club programmes

If you are 18 years old, you may be interested in joining a Rotaract club. Like Rotary clubs, Rotaract agive their members the chance to make friends, develop leadership skills, and create positive change.Rotaract clubs provide a different club experience and the best way to experience the difference is to visit each type of Club or find a Club that matches your interests or is convenient to you.

Interact Clubs are hosted by secondary schools and are supported by Rotary and Rotaract Clubs.

RotaKids Club are hosted by primary and intermediate schools and are supported by Rotary and Rotaract Clubs.
